It's that time again – your Bag of Holding update is here, and we've got some important details to share. Let's dive into the nitty-gritty!
BackerKit Update
We've seen an impressive response from 6,038 backers on BackerKit, with 87% of surveys completed. Kudos to those who've navigated the survey seas! For the rest of you… you only have a few days left to make any necessary adjustments or additions to your order on BackerKit. On December 15, orders will be locked, and no more edits or add-ons will be allowed after this date.
Rest assured, your payment won't be charged until we're ready to gear up for shipping. So, if you don’t see a charge on your card, DON’T PANIC! This is by design.
Also, we're still on track with our posted timeline, and the Bag of Holding ship date is estimated to be July 2024.
PAX Prototype Showcase
We enjoyed showcasing the latest Bag of Holding prototype at PAX. It was an excellent opportunity to connect with backers face-to-face and talk about their experiences. Although this isn’t the final bag, it was nice to have a bag that’s closer to our vision than the samples we had when we first started this journey.

Pledge Manager Surveys are Live!

Hey all! We’re glad so many of you have started filling out your BackerKit info. Your enthusiasm and support mean the world to us, and we're excited to take this epic journey together. As of today, we’re already over 57% completed with our Pledge Manager surveys! Thank you so much for taking the time to get these done, it really helps immensely with our timeline for production and delivery.
We've noticed that there have been some questions regarding shipping prices for our Bag of Holding Kickstarter, and we want to address this issue with the utmost transparency.
We completely understand that shipping costs can sometimes catch people by surprise, but rest assured that the shipping and handling details were outlined in the Shipping and Handling section of our Kickstarter campaign. We wanted to be as upfront as possible, ensuring that all our backers had a clear understanding of what to expect when it came to this aspect of the campaign.
The shipping costs were calculated diligently and reasonably to consider the size and weight of the bag (remember, it’s a big bag shipping in a big box), and having other items in your order may increase shipping if the weight of the package increases. You might think that a strap by itself may not weigh a lot, but with packaging, things can change.
Now that the general stuff is out of the way, here are a few specific things we’ve seen we’d like to address:
Please make sure to fill out your survey completely. If you don’t fill out the entire survey, BackerKit will default to a much higher cost than the actual shipping. If you still think something is wrong, please let us know through one of the support channels listed below. This isn't a setting we can adjust in BackerKit, so our hands are kinda tied until you finish it.
Residents of Finland - While we know you are most certainly members of the EU, for some reason your shipping rates are more expensive than the average(but you’re no Greece or Malta). We presented a blended range estimate for all of the EU, of which yours are on the higher side and actually in-line with neighboring Norway. Given the continued support we see from our Finnish friends, we’ve noted this feedback for future campaigns and will call this out more clearly in our infographic.
Pro tip - Have a friend or family member who might be willing to receive your delivery? Check and see if their shipping costs are less (looking at you Gibraltar). We really want to get this to you as cheap as we can, so if there’s a more affordable option for you, please take it!

BackerKit Surveys Surveys Coming Soon!

It’s time to start watching those inboxes! Starting TOMORROW, we’ll begin sending out the BackerKit Pledge Manager Surveys.
If you’re new to Kickstarter, it’s critical that you know how important these surveys are, as they ensure we ship things to you correctly and will allow you also to select specific add-ons included in bundled tiers. On top of that, you can also select additional straps, dice sets, zipper charms, or other bag accessories that you might have missed (including the Qapla’ Strap we unlocked right before the Kickstarter closed), all at the exclusive Kickstart pricing available during the campaign.
In addition to finalizing the items on your order, you’ll also provide your credit card information to pay any remaining costs associated with your order. Some examples are shipping, VAT, taxes, and unpaid Kickstarter pledge fees. This will be processed at a later date and we’ll make sure to let everyone know through Kickstarter updates as we get closer to that time.
We will be locking orders on December 15, 2023. Please make sure you have answered all of the questions and selected any additional items by that date. Once we lock orders, you will no longer be able to make changes to your items, and if you have options included like the Early Bird or Adventure Tiers, you will need to have them selected to ensure they arrive with your other items.
As a note, there is no benefit to waiting to complete these steps, so please complete these surveys as soon as you get them. And if you have any questions or issues with you survey, our partners at BackerKit will be happy to help you as they are most capable at resolving any issues that might come up with the Pledge Manager. You can reach them by either going through your survey directly or through backerkit.com/contact.

Campaign Wrap-Up!

We’ve crossed the finish line! Thank you for helping us make Rollacrit’s Bag of Holding a reality!
During this campaign, we designed unique accessories and upgrades that will give you plenty of options to customize your bags. We hope you enjoyed the fun straps and zipper charms because we loved making them and seeing your enthusiasm.
Final Unlocks
We did it! Not only did we unlock the Rainbow Rolls strap (yay PRIDE!), but we also hit our social stretch goal! You know what that means! Every bag will get a FREE upgrade with a chrome d20 Badge above the inside flap!
In the last few hours, we also managed to unlock the Qapla’ Honor Strap as well! So, if you didn’t get to add it to your order, don’t worry! You can add it when we send out our BackerKit surveys at the end of October/early November 2023.
What’s Next?
Now for the hard part: waiting. We’ve done much of the heavy lifting already, so we expect to start shipping these bags by July 2024. At the end of October/early November, you’ll receive a BackerKit survey that will let you add any straps or dice sets you may have missed, confirm your address, and pay for shipping.
Please note, if your tier is a bundle that includes a Zipper Charm Set and/or Sharp Edge Resin Dice Set, you’ll be able to select your choice after the campaign ends, in the Pledge Manager, from the options that are unlocked throughout the Kickstarter.

A New Unlock
Good news, though! We successfully unlocked the Axe Zipper Charm set! Take a look and add it to your order today. These are sure to make your bag even sharper than it already is.
More Straps On the Horizon
As for what’s next, we have two more straps left to unlock: the colorful Rainbow Rolls Strap and the “trek through the stars”-inspired Qapla’ Honor Strap. How enterprising!
With each updated order, we’re getting closer to unlocking these cool straps!
Social Stretch Goal Update
We’re running out of time to add the chrome d20 to your Bag of Holding! The only platform left to achieve 1,000 new followers is TikTok. We’re 98.3% of the way there, so we’re hoping to add this to the final version of the bag!
A Surprise Merit Badge
As a “thank you” to our Merit Strap enthusiasts, we added another Merit Badge to every order that includes a Merit Strap (including tiers with a bundled Merit Strap). This means you’ll receive THREE Merit Badges if you have a Merit Strap in your order. Check out the design below!

See an add-on you want to add to your order? Simply follow these steps:
Click the “Manage your pledge” button at the top of our Kickstarter page.
Click the “Change your pledge” button at the bottom. (Don’t worry! You won't lose your spot if you’re an Early Bird backer.)
Click the “Pledge” button with a dollar amount at the top.
Add all the unlocked add-ons you want and click the “Continue” button.
